Weekly Roundup 15-24th December | Blogmas LAST DAY

Oh Hi!

It's the last day of Blogmas and I have to say that I'm actually extremely proud of myself for making it! I kind of didn't think I would do it! Also, the fact that I only missed one day is OK because it was supposed to be a baking thing but the baking thing failed so I couldn't blog about it and I didn't have a plan B!

I thought I would show you lovelies the rest of my DIY Beauty Calendar and what I got from 15th - 24th December!

On the 15th I got this sample Shower cream from LdB. I actually have NO idea where I got this, it's a mystery! It's supposed to smell of wild strawberries & cocoa but I haven't had a chance to actually smell it since if I open it I have to use it!

On the 16th I got Maybelline Baby Lips Mint Fresh. I wouldn't actually recommend using this to moisturize your lips as Baby lips include petrolatum (petroleum jelly) which makes your lips feel hydrated, but only while the product is actually on your lips! So this is kind of a pointless thing in my calendar as I actually won't use it, oops.

Next up I got a Yves Rocher Naturelle Perfume Sample. This smells absolutely wonderful but I suck at explaining scents haha! It smells pretty fresh and flowery I guess!

On the 18th I got another perfume sample from Yves Rocher! This is called Quelques Notes d'Amour and it's a very flowery scent!

On the 19th I got Lumene Finland Clear it up! 2 in 1 Deep Purifying Daily Scrub & Wash Sample. I got this when I went to ask Emotion for some samples!
I don't think I would recommend this for sensitive skin as it includes perfume!

Next up on the 20th I got Yves Rocher Sebo Végétal Purity Mask. It's for Combination to Oily skin and you're supposed to use it twice a week. It should only be on for 5 minutes so it's a quickie! I already have another tube of this but I'm running out of it! While this actually includes perfume I haven't had any reactions to it and my skin seems to like this product! I've now however been lazy with using this product so I can't say if it does anything haha!

Next up is another sample of the Yves Rocher Quelques Notes d'Amour perfume! This time in a cute little bottle, awww!

On the 22nd I got the Bourjois Paris Délice De Poudre Broncing powder in 51. I've wanted to try this forever and so I bought it for myself from Feel Unique some months ago for the calendar!

On the 23rd I got three things! First up Nicea Daily Essentials Refining Clear-Up Strips. I've been using these for a while and I ran out of them so I bought myself a new pack! They come with 4 nose strips and 2x2 strips for chin and forehead! I usually use the nose strips once a week and then the chin and forehead strips every other week as I find my pores aren't as clogged there!

I also got a sample of the Clarins Skin Illusion Loose Powder Foundation. While the sample is a lot darker than my skin tone I get to at least try the product and see if I like it! This sample I picked up from Kicks which is a cosmetics store! There is another foundation by Clarins that I really want to try but they didn't have it as a sample so I got this one instead.

I also got a sample of The Body Shop Tea Tree Facial wash. I've had another sample of this one and I absolutely love it when my skin is hating me and I think I will eventually cave and buy a full sized bottle of this!

On Christmas Eve I got this nail kit with 2 nailfiles and one scrub(?).
I also bought The Script's album "No Sound Without Silence" as another gift in the calendar so it was a good ending to it all!

I hope you guys have enjoyed Blogmas as much as I enjoyed doing it and I hope we can do this again next year!♥

A Little Christmas Story | Blogmas Day 19

This following story is a work of fiction, from my brain to your screens. Enjoy♥

The Little Girl's Christmas Spirit
I had put my Christmas wish list outside, holding it to the wall with an outside kind of brush. Every evening I would check if the wish list was gone, to see if one of Santa’s helpers had come to get it.
One evening, at the end of November the wish list was gone. I knew one of Santa’s helpers had come to get it. Now Santa knew what I wanted for Christmas.
“Mommy, mommy! Santa has got my Christmas wish list now!” I told mom as I ran around her. She looked at me the way you look at kids and smiled.
“Well now you just have to wait for Christmas then!” she told me as I jumped up and down impatiently.
“How many days left?” I asked, looking up at her excitedly.
She laughed. “Not long now, honey.”

Time went by and soon I was peeking through the windows. The snow was falling.
“Daddy, when is Santa coming?” I asked dad. He smiled at me.
“Soon honey, but first we have to eat Christmas Dinner!” he said. So I ate. I ate all the food my parents gave me and soon I was watching Disney Cartoons on TV. There was a knock on the door. It was Santa. And he had lots of presents. And I sat on his lap. And I sang for him.

Next year, I did the same thing. I put out my Christmas wish list and soon noticed it was gone, I waited, I asked about Santa, I ate, I watched TV, I met Santa. The same happened the next year. And the next. Until I learnt that Santa isn’t real. Then Santa started leaving the presents outside our door for us to hand out to the family members. And soon I started wishing that I still believed in Santa. So that I could be as excited for Christmas as I was when I was little.
The magic had gone away, and so had my happiness. I spent all my time in my room on my laptop. I took my happy pill, the pill that made me smile a little bit and helped me get out of the hard times.

Then one November day years later I handed a Christmas wish list to mom.
“This is what I wish for!” I told her excitedly. Mom laughed.
“You can’t get all these things!” she told me.
“Mom, I know, but it’s just to give you an idea!” I told her. Then I waited for Christmas Eve.

Christmas Eve came, and I looked out of the window. It was snowing. I turned to dad.
“When will we hand out the presents?” I was excited, waiting impatiently. Dad smiled.
“Soon love, but first we have to eat Christmas Dinner!” he said. So I ate, I ate all the food I could manage. Because it was Christmas after all. And I watched the Disney Cartoons on TV. And then I handed out the presents. And I took my happy pill, and I was happy. Because I got the Christmas Spirit back.

I love writing and I don't write any stories for this blog, so I wanted to write a little story for Christmas! I might make it a monthly thing, you never know!♥

Christmas Baking: Dark Chocolate Cupcakes | Blogmas Day 18

Oh Hi!

Today I thought we would bake Dark Chocolate Cupcakes together!

You will need 4 tbsp of cacao powder,
1 dl boiling water,
3 dl flour,
2 tsp baking powder,
2 tsp vanilla sugar,
100 g butter,
1 ½ dl sugar,
2 eggs,
200 g dark chocolate

This recipe makes roughly 15 cupcakes in big cupcake cases! (About 20 in regular sized cupcake cases!)

Preheat your oven to 175°C!

First you want to heat 1 dl of water in the microwave. You then want to add 4 tbsp of cacao powder and mix it until it doesn't have any lumps in it! Then set it aside to cool.

Next you want to add 3 dl of flour, 2 tsp or baking powder and 2 tsp of vanilla sugar to a bowl. Mix it together!

You then want to warm up 100 g of butter. It shouldn't be melted but a little softer so it's easier to mix it!

Add the butter and 1 ½ dl of sugar into another bowl and wisk it together. You can use an electric handwhisk or a kitchenaid!

Add 2 eggs to the mixture and whisk that too!

You then want to add the flour mixture you made earlier! Don't worry if the batter gets a little thick, it will work out once you add the cacao water later!

Now you want to chop the dark chocolate of your choice to smaller pieces, it doesn't have to be really small pieces but just chop it up! Then add the chocolate gradually and mix it together!

Add the cacao water you made at the very start and mix it well with a spoon! At first you'll feel like the cacao water won't mix but don't worry, it will!

You then want to add the batter into cupcake cases and pop them into the oven for about 20 minutes! I found that 20 minutes is perfect for the cupcakes but your oven might be different so after 15 minutes you want to check them!

When your cupcakes have cooled down you want to make icing. To make icing just add icing sugar and water in a bowl and mix it! I also added some green food coloring but that's optional!
I iced half of the cupcakes and the other half I left plain.

Then you can add some sprinkles on top or whatever you want! Get creative!

And that's you done!
These cupcakes are extremely tasty with the dark chocolate and they are super easy to make even though it might seem like it's a lot of steps! Just give it a try, you won't be disappointed!♥
